Beyond peak performance, Gates hydraulic systems offer you safety. The LifeGuard™ Line-of-Sight Sleeving System is the first true protection in line-of-sight hydraulic applications.
Contains bursts up to 10,000 psi and pinhole leaks up to 5,000 psi at 250°F for up to five minutes. After redirecting the explosive force down the length of the hose, the LifeGuard sleeve disperses the energy and fluids at the hose ends via carefully designed “channel” clamps. The leaked fluid then allows for fast hose failure detection.

PolySleeve™ High-Density Polyethylene Hose Wrap
PolySleeve protects hoses from chaffing, rubbing, crushing, ultraviolet rays and other hazards that cause hose failures. It can be an easy and economical way to protect equipment, reduce downtime, improve sighting and improve overall appearance. PolySleeve can be installed easily - even after the hose assembly or assemblies are in place. The edges are rounded, so installers won’t cut their hands. Just wrap a section of Gates PolySleeve in the abrasion area or wrap it around any number of hoses for better appearance or safety. It is offered in either black or yellow in a full range of sizes.
This product is made of heavy-wall, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and has a wide temperature range. At -40°F (-40°C) it starts to become somewhat brittle, and at +280°F (+130°C) it starts to become soft. After temperature is normalized, PolySleeve returns to its original state quickly. PolySleeve is made with an anti-static material, so it won’t build up a static charge.

MegaClean™ System
Gates MegaClean foam projectiles sweep through the inside surface of the hose, taking fine particles of loose dirt and other contaminants with them. At 20-30 percent larger than the hose ID, these projectiles leave nothing behind but a hose that truly is clean from the inside out. - See more at:
